Oregonians are already bearing the economic cost from this war of choice. Wars increase the cost of living for Americans, will push Iran toward a nuclear weapon, and, through death and displacement, will imperil the lives of millions of people who call the region home.
My friends and neighbors, some of whom are Iranian, are asking for an end to this cycle of assault on their home countries and cultures. As someone running for office to lift up the voices of all members of my community, I cannot sit by and quietly let the American military industrial complex continue to destabilize global relations and local economies.
