In just one short afternoon, Tammy and her supporters put together their small dollars and raised a whopping $8,000! (And that’s not including the future donations we’ll get from everyone who became a monthly contributor.)
About 200 people — teachers, parents, students, nurses, union members, community organizers, and folks who are ready to fight for a better world — packed into the Elsie Stuhr Center on Saturday. Together we made the commitment to do what it takes to tax the rich so that all people can have what we need for a safe, fulfilling life.

DSA members already in the Oregon legislature — Reps. Farrah Chaichi, Lesly Muñoz, and Travis Nelson — joined other elected officials in endorsing Tammy as a champion for democracy who puts the needs of working people above corporations.
“Tammy is a physician who understands that we have to do more to care for our elderly and those who care for them,” said Rep. Nelson. “She would be the only physician in a sea of lawyers in the House of Representatives. Vote for her!”
